Why Screen?

Lung cancer is the top cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. Screening helps find it early, often before symptoms start, when it's easier to treat.

Screening Method: Low-Dose CT (LDCT) Scan

The best test for lung cancer screening is a low-dose CT scan. It’s quick, easy, and creates detailed pictures of your lungs.

Low Radiation Risk

While LDCT does involve exposure to radiation, the dose is significantly lower than a standard CT scan. LDCT delivers only 1.4 mSv of radiation compared to 7 mSv from a standard CT scan, making it safe for annual screenings.

Understanding False Positives

Sometimes, screening shows a problem that isn’t cancer, leading to more tests and worry.

Screening focuses on high-risk groups to lower the chances of false positives.

This survey will help you see if you’re in the high-risk group.

Lung cancer screening saves lives via early detection. Early detection significantly improves the chances of successful treatment and long-term survival.
